Bruce has spent his entire 27 year career creating, growing and monetizing numerous upstream oil and gas companies. Prior to forming Crossing Rocks Energy II, Bruce was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Crossing Rocks Energy Partners, LLC, and was a co-founder and officer of Celero Energy Company, LP, Celero Energy, LP and Encore Acquisition Company, Inc. Additionally, Bruce was President of KLT Gas, a subsidiary of Great Plains Energy. Bruce began his career at Natural Gas Partners soon after graduating from Southern Methodist University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Finance and Real Estate. Bruce is involved in several non-profit efforts including the creation of a clinical trial in partnership with Baylor Health Care System targeting triple negative breast cancer.
Scott has more than 29 years of accounting and financial management experience in the oil and gas industry. Prior to forming Crossing Rocks Energy II, LLC he served as Chief Financial Officer of Crossing Rocks Energy Partners, LLC from 2015 to 2018, and as Vice President–Controller and Treasurer of Celero Energy Company, LP from 2006 to 2015. Prior to that Scott served as Vice President and Assistant Controller of Celero Energy, LP from 2004 to 2005. Scott also has extensive experience working in the public company environment having served as Director of Property and International Accounting for Pioneer Natural Resources Company from 1998 to 2004 and as Manager of Financial Reporting for Snyder Oil Corporation from 1993 to 1998. Scott began his professional career in 1990 as an Auditor for KPMG after graduating from The University of North Texas in May of 1990 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. Scott is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas.
Kevin has over 34 years of technical experience, most recently serving as Chief Operating Officer for Crossing Rocks Energy Partners, LCC, and as Senior Vice President – Operations for Atlantic Exploration, a private E&P company in Fort Worth, Texas. Prior to Atlantic and since 2008, Kevin was Vice President – Production for Classic Hydrocarbons. In 2004, Kevin joined Quicksilver Resources, a public E&P company in Fort Worth, Texas as Operations Manager, Fort Worth Basin. Kevin was the Southern Production Manager for Encore Acquisition Company beginning in 2000 where he managed all drilling, completion, and production operations in the Permian, Crockett, and Verden Regions. Prior to Encore, Kevin held District Engineer and Reservoir Engineer positions with Range Resources, Matador Petroleum, and Breck Operating Corp. Kevin graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering in 1985 and is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas.
Preston has over 24 years of operations, reservoir, and acquisition evaluation experience over a wide variety of oil and gas properties across multiple basins. Prior to forming Crossing Rocks Energy II, Preston served as Executive Vice President-Business Development for Crossing Rocks Energy Partners, LCC, and as Western U.S. Division Manager of Jetta Operating Co, a private E&P company in Fort Worth, Texas. Prior to joining Jetta, Preston was with Encore Acquisition Company. During his time at Encore, Preston served as Senior Engineer – Northern (Williston Basin) and Southern (Permian Basin) Regions and as Engineering Manager for the Mid Continent Region. From 1997 to 1998, Preston served as an engineer for Union Pacific Resources’ South Texas region. From 1995 to 1997, he served in operations and production engineering roles for Burlington Resources Oil & Gas’ South Texas and Mid-Continent Regions. Preston graduated from Texas A&M University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering Degree and as a Distinguished Military Graduate. Preston served ten years in the reserve component forces and departed service in 2004 at the rank of Captain with more than three years of company command experience in Alpha Company of the 536th Forward Support Battalion, 49th Armored Division.
Philip has over 16 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, is a licensed Texas attorney and is Board Certified in Oil, Gas and Mineral Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Prior to joining Crossing Rocks Energy II, Philip was a Partner at the law firm of Gray Reed & McGraw L.P., a Texas based firm with over 150 attorneys. At Gray Reed, Philip served as the head of the Dallas office’s oil and gas practice and as head of the firm’s Energy Industry Team. Prior to joining Gray Reed, Philip served as the General Counsel for a Dallas based Exploration and Production company. Philip frequently speaks on oil and gas topics and has been recognized as a Who’s Who in Energy by the Dallas Business Journal, a Best Energy Lawyer in Dallas by D Magazine, and as a Rising Star—Energy by Texas Super Lawyers. During his career, Philip has successfully negotiated and closed nearly every type of oil and gas deal imaginable, from complex acquisitions, divestitures and mergers to gathering agreements, farmout agreements and various other commercial and operational transactions. In addition, Philip has deep operational expertise with both land and legal matters. Before attending law school, Philip worked for several years as a contract negotiator in the downstream segment of the energy business. Philip received his undergraduate degree from Stephen F. Austin State University and received his J.D., Summa Cum Laude, from South Texas College of Law.
